List of HR Questions you can be asked

Here’s a broad list of HR questions you can be asked! Go through them, pick the ones that are most relevant to the interview you’re giving and start practising!

Personal or HR questions are a big part of almost all interviews & it is best to be well prepared and confident while answering such questions. It is always good to have a few examples to supplement whatever you’re saying. And practice in a mock interview or in front of a mirror.

With that said, here’s the list

1. Tell me about yourself
2. Walk me through your resume
3. What is one thing about you that’s not in your resume?
4. What is your biggest learning in last 1/2/5 years?
5. Tell about your single greatest achievement.
6. What are your strengths? Give examples
7. What are your weaknesses? Give examples
8. What is the most impactful project you’ve worked at?
9. What are your long-term (5-10 years) and short-term (1-2 year) goals in life?
10. Describe a situation where you initiated a new idea or approach and implemented it. How did you go about it?
11. Describe a situation where you had to persuade others to achieve a goal after overcoming resistance. How did you go about doing it?
12. Do your grades accurately reflect your ability? Why/why not? / Do you think that your academic results are a true reflection of your abilities?
13. Provide an example when you approached your work with a mindset of having limited resources or time. Please include details of the context, the action you took and the results that were achieved.
14. Who has inspired you in your life and why?
15. What is required for you to be at the best of your efficiency?
16. If you could go back in time, what would you do better in xyz project or company?
17. How would your manager describe you?
18. How would your subordinates describe you?
19. Why do you want to work with us?
